See The #Nutcracker in New York

Nutcracker ballet in LuganskIf you want to take in a little culture over the festive season, you can do no better than to pick up a ticket for a performance of The Nutcracker by the New York City Ballet. This particular ballet is forever linked with Christmas and should not be missed.

The ballet, which is being performed at the Lincoln Center, has been running since the end of November. The last performance will be on January 3rd; therefore, you will need to move quickly if you do not want to miss out. A ticket for this event also makes a great Christmas gift for a loved one.

This particular performance uses choreography by the founder of the New York City Ballet, George Balanchine, and includes no less than 90 dancers. The live orchestra includes more than 60 musicians and the production uses the original music by Tchaikovsky.

This timeless story of a young girl and a wooden nutcracker that comes to life and becomes a prince is still as appealing today as it was when the ballet was first performed. The events take place on Christmas Eve and the prince transports the young girl, Clara, to the Land of the Sweets, where there are characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Snow Queen. The show includes elaborate costumes, sets and beautiful dance sequences, and the chance to see it performed by this legendary company should not be missed.

Tickets cover a whole range of budgets, starting at $29 and going up to more than $200. Book now to avoid disappointment.
