How to move a stove

How to move a stoveIt takes plenty of courage and a good deal more patience to attempt to move a stove; however, if you are intent on doing the job yourself, there are a couple of tips that should help with the process.

The great majority of us think of moving as being something that is pretty strenuous and tiring at the best of times.  Moving something as simple as a table can end up being a pain, so having to shift a heavy and bulky electrical appliance such as a stove is even more complicated.  It is recommended that you should employ professional movers for this task due to how difficult and even dangerous it can be, especially without a plan.  If you are intent on performing the move yourself, however, then you need to be aware of a few things so that the task can be performed as smoothly as possible.

Stoves come in different sizes and you should always give moving one every bit of your attention, regardless of how big or small it is, and you will inevitably need at least one other person to assist you.

The first thing to do is to make certain that the stove has been disconnected prior to trying to move it so that no accidents will take place.  The gas line should also be shut off and then disconnected from the stove.  If the stove is equipped with wheels, the relocation should then be pretty simple; if not, you may need to use a dolly or a trolley.
