U.S. News recently released the best places to live in 2017 based on affordability, job prospects and overall quality of life.

Executive editor of U.S. News, Kim Castro explains, “When considering a move people are concerned about finding a job in their field, earning enough to afford a home, sending their kids to good schools and feeling like a part of their community,” said Kim Castro, executive editor at U.S. News. “The Best Places to Live ranking takes all of that into account – the metro areas that do well are the ones with strong job markets and high quality of life.”

So, if you’re ready for a fresh start, you may want to consider relocating to one of these top cities to live in.

1. Austin, Texas

Statistics show that approximately 50 people move to the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ every day for its various outdoor spaces, cultural institution and of course, music. As such, Austin is noted as being one of the most desirable places to live in 2017. It has a thriving job market, quality of life and overall unique value that simply can’t be found outside of this city.

2. Denver, Colorado

Colorado is inarguably one of the most sought out states as of recently and Denver, in particular, is considered to be one of the best places to live in 2017. The city is infused with nature, fitness fanatics, ambitious go-getters, and various job opportunities due to the legalization of recreational marijuana in 2012.

3. San Jose, California
