JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Bekins A-1 Movers, Inc. is opening a new location at 3740 Pampas Drive in Jacksonville, Florida on Monday, June 18.

This new location will allow Bekins A-1 to serve the moving and storage needs of the residents of Jacksonville, the largest city by area in the continental United States.

“We refuse to let the economy dictate our growth,” said Bekins A-1 CEO David Caruso. Instead of waiting for an economic upturn, Bekins A-1 is creating its own growth by going into expansion mode. With the opening of this new Jacksonville location, Bekins A-1 Movers will have 19 locations in the United States, China and the Philippines.

In February 2012, Wheaton Van Lines, Inc. acquired Bekins Van Lines, Inc. in a strategic move designed to bolster both brands. This partnership is providing Bekins A-1 with increased operational capacity and resources for strategic growth.
